The National Meteorological Office informed that for this monday the weather conditions will be under the effects of a trough at different levels of the troposphere, which will be combined with the effects of the eastern/northern wind.
Both factors will increase the humidity content in the territory, causing, starting from this afternoon and the early hours of the night, clouds accompanied by local rainfalls, electrical storms and gusts of wind, especially in locations of the provinces: El Seibo, Hato Mayor , Samaná, Monte Plata, Duarte, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Santiago, Santiago Rodríguez, Dajabón, Elías Piña, San Juan, Puerto Plata y Espaillat, among others.
By Tuesday morning, the trough will become stronger, which will induce a humid and unstable environment, favoring locally moderate rainfalls with electrical storms and gusts of wind in the provinces of the Northeast, Southeast and Southwest, the Cordillera Central, in particular: San Cristóbal, Monseñor Nouel, Sánchez Ramírez, Monte Plata, San José de Ocoa, La Vega, Santiago, Independencia, Azua, el Gran Santo Domingo, among others, in the afternoon and in the early hours of the night.
